Mumbai is likely to witness a partly cloudy sky with moderate rain and thundershowers in the city and suburbs on Wednesday, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD).
As per the IMD's 8 am weather forecast, intermittent spells of rain are expected through the day.
The minimum temperature was recorded at 27.0 degrees Celsius at the Colaba observatory and 27.4 degrees Celsius at the Santacruz observatory. In the 24 hours ending at 8 am on July 29, Colaba received 4.8 mm of rainfall, while Santacruz recorded 0.1 mm.
The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) said the average rainfall recorded between 8 am on July 28 and 8 am on July 29 stood at 3.28 mm in the City, 8.62 mm in the Eastern Suburbs and 3.08 mm in the Western Suburbs.
The high tide is expected at 12:17 pm, with a height of 4.14 metres, followed by another high tide at 12:07 am on July 30 measuring 3.68 metres.
The low tide is expected at 6:19 pm on Wednesday at 1.81 metres, while the next low tide is forecast for 5:54 am on July 30 at 0.75 metres.
Authorities have advised citizens to remain cautious in low-lying areas during periods of rainfall and around the time of high tide.
The water stock in Mumbai's seven lakes, which supply drinking water to the city, witnessed a marginal decline on Wednesday, with live storage dropping to 12,76,079 million litres (ML), or 88.17 per cent of the total capacity of 14,47,363 ML, according to data released by the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation's (BMC) Hydraulic Engineer's Department.
On Tuesday, the city's reservoirs had collectively held 88.81 per cent of their live storage capacity, marking a 0.64 percentage point decrease over the past 24 hours.

Despite the slight drop in overall storage, Modak Sagar, Vihar and Tulsi lakes continue to remain at 100 per cent capacity. Tansa is at 98.49 per cent, Middle Vaitarna at 87.76 per cent, Bhatsa at 86.43 per cent, and Upper Vaitarna at 78.83 per cent.
Among the reservoirs, Upper Vaitarna recorded the highest rainfall over the past 24 hours with 69 mm, followed by Bhatsa (48 mm), Tansa (45 mm), Modak Sagar (27 mm), Middle Vaitarna (16 mm), Tulsi (8 mm) and Vihar (2 mm).
