Mumbai is set to experience a bright and comfortably warm winter day on Saturday, January 24, 2026, with clear skies and good visibility. Daytime temperatures are expected to remain pleasant, hovering in the mid-20s.
Looking ahead, the weather forecast through January 28 suggests largely sunny and dry conditions across the city. Daytime highs are likely to range between 26 degrees Celsius and 28 degrees Celsius throughout the week, with Tuesday, January 27, being the only day expected to see partly cloudy skies. Overall, the outlook remains stable and favourable for outdoor activities.
On Saturday, temperatures are forecast to dip to a low of 21.1 degrees Celsius and rise to a high of 26.2 degrees Celsius, with the average temperature expected to be around 23.4 degrees Celsius. Humidity levels are estimated at approximately 59 percent. Sunrise is scheduled for 7:15 am, while sunset will occur at 6:26 pm.
Despite the pleasant weather, air quality continues to draw attention. According to Indian standards, Mumbai's Air Quality Index (AQI) stood at 83 on Saturday, placing it in the âsatisfactory' category.
AQI readings across key locations in the city showed some variation, with Bandra Kurla Complex recording 98, Kandivali West 88, Byculla 62, Andheri East 92, Ghatkopar 96, and Deonar registering a relatively higher AQI of 114.
Meanwhile, the air quality in the national capital showed significant improvement after the city witnessed rain showers over the past 24 hours, with the air quality index recorded at 242, according to the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) at 10 am on Saturday.
The sudden change in weather and the unexpected drought provided marginal relief from pollution.
After the Friday showers, the national capital and surrounding areas woke up to a thick layer of fog, with dense fog gripping parts of Delhi-NCR.
According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), Delhi-NCR on Saturday will generally have a cloudy sky, moderate morning fog, and strong surface winds (10-20 kmph).
Meanwhile, the Sub-Committee on the Graded Response Action Plan (GRAP) of the Commission for Air Quality Management (CAQM) revoked all Stage III actions across Delhi-NCR with immediate effect, January 22, in view of the improvement in air quality and forecast trends.
