Drunk passenger taken to cops, after creating ruckus when stopped from using the plane's loo during take-off Loot Gaye: Pravin Botkhewar was fined Rs 1,200 under section 110 of the Mumbai Police Act (behaving indecently in public) and was soon let off.
A drunk Jet Lite passenger allegedly created a hue and cry last night when he was not allowed to use the loo onboard just before take off and delayed the flight by 20 minutes.

Pravin Botkhewar, an engineer and a resident of Sion's Pratiksha Nagar was then made to disembark from the Mumbai-Kolkata flight.
Crew members escorted him to the airport police station at Santacruz where this reporter witnessed the continuation of their argument.
Against rules
Atmaram Parab, PSI of Santacruz airport police station said, "Botkhewar was drunk. He had consumed beer before he boarded.
He wanted to go to the loo just before take off, but this is against the rules. No one is allowed to get up from his seat just before take off.
When crew members told him this, he started arguing with them. They brought him here as they felt he was bound to create more trouble once the flight takes off.
We fined him Rs 1,200 under section 110 of the Mumbai Police Act (Behaving indecently in public) and then let him go."
u00a0Jet Lite officials refused to comment, while spokesperson Srirupa Sen could not be reached despite repeated attempts.
Bomb Hoax
On July 23, 2009, Sanjay Mallik, a passenger on board Delhi-Mumbai Indigo flight claimed there was a bomb on board and demanded that the flight be diverted to Pakistan. Other passengers then overpowered Mallik.
Captain Ashok Omar radioed the Mumbai Air Traffic Control about the potential threat 15 minutes before landing.
After the flight landed, Central Industrial Security Forceu00a0 officials immediately arrested him. Airport police officials who interrogated Mallik said he appeared to be mentally unstable.
