WR officials consider increasing services from Borivli

WR adminstration is examining the possibility of increasing services from Platform number 1, 2 and 3 at the Borivli station between 9 am and 10 am


After yesterday's agitation at Borivili station by commuters that disrupted services for over five hours, the Western Railway (WR) administration has stepped up to take some corrective measures.u00a0 "The administration is examining the possibility of increasing services from Platform number 1, 2 and 3 at the Borivli station between 9 am and 10 am," said S S Gupta, chief PRO, WR.u00a0u00a0u00a0u00a0u00a0

The Road Over Bridge will also be connected to Platform no 8, the tender for which has already been issued. This will enable easier access to the platform, inform WR officials.u00a0u00a0

"We will also meet BEST officials and examine whether any bus services can be started near the Road Under Bridge (RUB), which is near platform number 7 and 8. If buses halt near the RUB commuters can simply hop on to the platform," Gupta said.

"Since it is revealed that cable thefts led to the cancellation of trains, the Railway Protection Force will carry out intensive patrolling near railway stations," he added.u00a0u00a0
