The Tata Mumbai Marathon event is held each year usually in January

Many runners wore bright costumes, matching team colours and themed outfits, adding to the visual spectacle

The event held on Sunday morning created a lively atmosphere along the route

The event was smoothly conducted, with strong security and medical support ensuring the safety of all

The Central and Western Railway had earlier said that it will be running special Mumbai local trains on January 18 to facilitate participants of Tata Mumbai Marathon

The marathon route passed through key areas such as CSMT, Azad Maidan, Marine Drive, Worli, Dadar, Mahim, Bandra, and adjoining roads

Mumbai Marathon featured seven different race categories, including the Full Marathon, Half Marathon, 10 km Run, Elite Race, Champion with Disability Run, Senior Citizens’ Run, and Dream Run

The top three finishers in both elite races received prize money of USD 50,000 for first place, USD 25,000 for second, and USD 15,000 for third

Mumbai Police had issued a advisory and list of traffic curbs at Mumbai Coastal Road, Bandra-Worli Sea Link and key routes in parts of the city

Most races will start from Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT) or nearby locations and passed through Marine Drive, Worli Sea Face, Coastal Road, and Bandra-Worli Sea Link areas

The Full Marathon (42.195 km – Amateurs) began at 5 am

The Half Marathon (21.097 km) was scheduled at 5 am till 9:10 am

The 21st edition of the Tata Mumbai Marathon (TMM) saw participation from over 69,000 individuals, including more than 65,000 runners on the ground and 3,700 virtual participants

Over the last two decades, the Tata Mumbai Marathon has become a hallmark of unity and fitness in India

The event brings together people from all walks of life to celebrate the city's resilience and collective spirit

The collective enthusiasm of the crowd kept the runners motivated throughout the race, making the event a memorable experience for both participants and spectators

Like every year, people come together to promote fitness, endurance and community spirit
