A large number of protesters were seen dancing and raising slogans in support of the quota demand at CSMT on Monday.

To take the situation under control, various units of the CISF and CRPF have been deployed at Fort and other parts of South Mumbai.

The protest by Maratha quota activists is leading to overcrowding at the railway station, located near Azad Maidan, where activist Manoj Jarange is staging a hunger strike.

Activists supporting Manoj Jarange are seen entering trains, causing major disruption for commuters travelling to work.

In view of the alarming situation at CSMT, security forces are trying their best to establish smooth passenger movement despite the protest.
