Adhik Maas is also referred to as Mal Maas or Purushottam Maas. Since this full moon falls within Adhik Maas, it is commonly known as Adhik Purnima

The devotees took a holy dip, known as snan, in the ancient tank in south Mumbai as part of traditional religious observances
