Shinde announced that Balasaheb Thackeray's birth centenary year would be marked with several public welfare initiatives across Maharashtra
He said that these will be aimed at honouring Balasaheb Thackeray’s vision of social justice, development and strong grassroots leadership
Shinde along with party leader offered floral tributes and remembered Bal Thackeray’s contribution to Maharashtra’s politics, culture and Marathi identity
Speaking to the media, he added that Balasaheb’s ideology continues to guide the Shiv Sena’s work and public service
Shinde also appealed to party workers to take Balasaheb’s ideas to the people and work with dedication for the welfare of the state
