According to the Regional Disaster Management Cell (RDMC) of the Thane Municipal Corporation (TMC), the blaze was reported at around 11 am on Monday at the office of a company in the building which is a commercial high-rise
The fire was reported on the second floor of Centrum Business Square near Lotus Park on road no. 16 in Nehru Nagar area of Thane's Wagle Estate, an official said
The RDMC said that the incident was reported to the Disaster Management Cell by the Wagle Fire Station and upon receiving the alert, several emergency response teams rushed to the scene
The staff from the Disaster Management Cell (along with two pickup vehicles rushed to the spot and the Thane Fire Brigade officials with two fire engines and 1 high-rise fire vehicle reached the spot. The teams launched a fire-fighting operation
The fire was contained and brought under control, preventing it from spreading. Further investigation is underway to determine the cause of the fire is underway, the officials said
