This year, Tejukaya Raja returns in a powerful warrior avatar, carrying forward a tradition that began in the 1950s at Tejukaya Mansion. Over the decades, the idol has become one of Lalbaug’s three iconic Ganpatis, alongside the Lalbaugcha Raja and Mumbaicha Raja

Since 2019, the mandal has championed a pioneering green approach, crafting the idol entirely out of paper. The first paper idol, a towering 22 feet in height and 18 feet in width, weighed nearly 2,000 kg

The Chinchpokli Cha Chintamani is based on Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, featuring a throne that reflects the grandeur of royal Maratha aesthetics

The idol is about 21–22 feet tall and drew a large crowd on Day 1 itself

On Ganesh Chaturthi, Mumbai enthusiastically welcomed the elephant-headed god into huge public pandals
