This announcement came after the minister addressed concerns about pigeon feeding's impact on residents' health

Prioritising health, the state government wants the BMC to educate pigeon feeders about health risks to nearby residents

It is important to note that inhaling dust from pigeon droppings or from their sweeping can pose significant health risks, potentially leading to severe health issues for people

Meanwhile, considering the pigeon issue, Maharashtra Minister Uday Samant informed lawmakers that the government will instruct Mumbai's civic body, the BMC, to promptly close all pigeon feeding locations throughout the city

A Shiv Sena MLC mentioned several scientific reports showing that pigeon droppings and feathers cause health problems like asthma and other breathing issues for many people
