The event was attended by senior state officials, including ministers and top police leadership

Shinde said the government’s role extends beyond issuing directives, emphasising that it stands firmly behind the police force

He highlighted ongoing efforts to improve infrastructure and resources, including housing, well-equipped police stations, modern weaponry, vehicles, and advanced cyber security tools

Describing the sports meet as a major platform for showcasing talent, Shinde said the event reflects a different side of the police force

Shinde pointed to the growing presence of Maharashtra Police athletes in national and international competitions, noting that their achievements extend beyond the state. He expressed optimism that such talent could eventually find representation at global sporting events, including the Olympics
