On Wednesday, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) issued a fresh weather update, stating that light to moderate spells of rain are very likely to occur at isolated places in the districts of Mumbai, Thane, and the ghats of Kolhapur and Satara in the next 3–4 hours

While the rains have brought relief from the heat, residents are advised to stay alert, especially in low-lying and flood-prone areas

The IMD’s forecast indicates that the monsoon system remains active, particularly in parts of the Western Ghats, which often experience heavier showers

Commuters and pedestrians are urged to exercise caution during short bursts of rain, as visibility and road conditions may deteriorate suddenly

Meanwhile, the spirit of Mumbai remains undeterred, with Marine Drive standing as a testament to the city’s enduring monsoon romance
