BMC had covered the Kabutarkhana on Sunday following a Bombay High Court observation that feeding congregations of pigeons amounts to public nuisance and poses health risks.
The Kabutarkhana was covered by the civic authorities after the Bombay High Court observed that feeding congregations of pigeons amounts to a public nuisance and poses health risks. The court then directed the civic body to file FIRs against individuals engaging in pigeon feeding.
Due to the heated protest at Dadar, traffic was also disrupted at large, causing major problems for the people commuting through Dadar.
Police officials were deployed at the Dadar Kabutarkhana, where the protest is taking place, to make sure that everything stays under control.
