He was accompanied by Milind Borikar, CEO of the Mumbai Board of Maharashtra Housing and Area Development Authority (MHADA). Shelar also conducted a detailed inspection of the newly constructed towers in the Worli BDD Chawl Redevelopment Project

The high-rise buildings, constructed in the first phase of the ambitious redevelopment project, are now structurally complete

However, several concerns raised by residents about amenities and infrastructure still remain unresolved

During his inspection, Shelar spent around two hours engaging with the residents. Residents raised concerns about adequate water supply, prompting the minister to direct MHADA and BMC officials to install new water pipelines

Another major issue was the availability of parking, as one of the planned parking towers is still unfinished To address parking shortages, Shelar suggested temporarily demolishing two old buildings to create more space. Borikar said the additional space will be created by razing the old structures and parking be allotted through a transparent lottery system
