Located along Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Road, the flyover has been a crucial link for commuters travelling between Parel, Dadar, and surrounding areas for over four decades

Built around 1980, the structure has been showing signs of ageing, including structural fatigue and deteriorating road conditions, prompting authorities to take up strengthening work

The revamp includes structural repairs and road concretisation, aimed at improving durability, safety, and overall traffic flow on the flyover

The ongoing work has led to traffic congestion in the Parel and Hindmata area

The project is progressing at a steady pace and is expected to be completed before the onset of the monsoon, by the end of May 2026

The Parel TT Bridge plays a vital role in dispersing traffic from central Mumbai’s dense road network, acting as a key artery for both private vehicles and public transport

Traffic management measures have been put in place to minimise disruption, though peak-hour congestion remains a concern for daily commuters.
