On Monday, mosques and local organisations began making arrangements for the annual Eid-e-Milad procession
The decision came in light of the overlap between two major festivals—Eid-e-Milad and Anant Chaturdashi—which fall on consecutive days this year
Eid-e-Milad was celebrated on September 5 and the processions were shifted on September 8
Eid-e-Milad procession is usually held in areas including Byculla, Bhendi Bazaar, Dongri, Mohammed Ali Road and parts of eastern suburbs of Mumbai
The police has made elaborate security arrangements on the routes of the procession
