The heavy overnight downpour lashed several parts of the city, particularly the suburbs, as monsoon activity intensified over Mumbai
According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), Mumbai is expected to witness a generally cloudy sky on Monday morning, with thunderstorms and moderate to heavy rain likely across the city and its suburbs
Meanwhile, the IMD said favourable conditions continue for the monsoon to advance further into parts of the North Arabian Sea, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, and Uttarakhand over the next two to three days
The IMD has forecast fairly widespread rainfall across districts, including Nagpur, Wardha, Chandrapur, and Gadchiroli between June 28 and July 1.
