Mumbai is likely to witness hazy conditions on Tuesday, with skies turning mainly clear by afternoon and evening, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD).

The maximum and minimum temperatures are expected to hover around 32 degrees Celsius and 23 degrees Celsius, respectively.

According to the Central Pollution Control Board's (CPCB) SAMEER app, the city’s Air Quality Index (AQI) on Tuesday morning stood at 90, falling in the satisfactory category.

However, a light layer of haze and smog continues to persist across Mumbai, which may cause breathing discomfort for sensitive groups.

According to the IMD, most parts of Maharashtra recorded above-normal maximum temperatures on Tuesday, with several regions witnessing heat build-up.

Interior districts remained the hottest, with Jeur touching a high of 40 degrees Celsius, followed closely by Sholapur at 39.3 degrees Celsius and Beed at 39.2 degrees Celsius.
