The thick clouds could be part of a pre-monsoon activity developing over Mumbai and nearby coastal areas
Te India Meteorological Department (IMD) had earlier in the day predicted that Mumbai was likely to witness partly cloudy skies on Monday
The weather department had predicted that the city was likely to record maximum and minimum temperatures of around 34 degrees Celsius and 27 degrees Celsius, respectively
The Colaba observatory recorded a maximum temperature of 35.4 degrees Celsius, and Santacruz recorded 34.8 degrees Celsius on Monday morning
Minimum temperatures in the city on Monday morning were recorded at 28.4 degrees Celsius in Colaba and 29.4 degrees Celsius in Santacruz, indicating humid and uncomfortable night conditions
