Isn't it an irony that fashion, which is supposed to be a reflection of your personality, is never ever personal? How can Armani decide which suit fits your style, when the same patternu00a0 is flaunted by at least a million others around the world? Where is the individuality? 20-year-old Snigdha Kumari's quirky art has the answers.
Wear your life
Snigdha, a third year student at the National Institute of Fashion Technology in the capital, sits with you to turn your current state of mind and living into stuff you can sport in style. If it's love that's making your world go round, she'll paint your shoes in pretty pink hearts; if it's frustration that you can't wait to vent, your tees will scream it out, and if you're feeling just plain lazy these days, your bedstead or mousepad will start seeing 'Zzzz' over itself. The talented miss works her magic on just about everything as she chats up to know your thoughts in detail. Her mantra: speak your heart out. Her toys include clothing, footwear, accessories, linen, curtains, chappals, belts, stoles, bags, earrings, wall-hangings, candles and almost everything else you can conjure up as canvas. "Why flaunt someone else's design when you can personalise it according to your andaaz? Bold, edgy and adventurous my designs are fresh and non-repetitive," she smiles with pride. She has just started her own label, Fuze.
