The police suspect that it could be the handiwork of an insider who is circulating the mail out of jealousy.

Raju VN, corporate head, WEP Peripherals Limited, alleged that the incident has been occurring since June 10, when his employees started getting mails from four email ids.

The mail contains obscene literature and even a comic strip with morphed photos of the victim, accusing her of offering sexual favours to her seniors for getting perks.

"The contents of the mail are not true but being circulated to tarnish the company's image," Raju added.
Taking a serious note, the management ordered an internal enquiry asking the IT department to track the sender.
The IT department tracked the IP address of the mail and handed it over to the management, which in turn gave it to the police for further investigation.
The Cubbon park police, who conducted preliminary investigations, suspected that it could be a handiwork of an insider; some employee might be trying to tarnish the image of the victim, out of jealousy.
"We have identified a suspect and are trying to get more proof to nail him," an investigating officer said.
