Say parents of Aarushi Talwar, as cops claim they have recovered the slain girl's phone
Aarushi Talwar's parents are finally heaving a sigh of relief. They are happy that after a year-and-half of the gruesome double murder of teenage Aarushi and the family's domestic help Hemraj, the investigation seems to be making progress.
The Delhi Police claimed to have recovered the Nokia N72 mobile phone belonging to Aarushi that had gone missing on the day she was found murdered in her Noida home.
"We are thankful to God that at least there has been some progress in the case. We are very happy that the Delhi police have recovered her mobile phone. This could turn out to be crucial evidence in the case and may help the investigating agency in unearthing the truth," said Dr Rajesh Talwar, Aarushi's father, from their south Delhi residence, to where they have shifted after their daughter's murder.
The new finding has made the Talwar family optimistic that despite reported bungling of evidence in the case, Aarushi will get justice. "We are hopeful we will get justice as the investigation has picked up pace. But we were distressed when the news about the tampering of vaginal swab made headlines. After one-and-a-half-year when we got to hear that evidence was tampered with in the case it hurt us a lot. At the time of the murder, we were not in the condition to see whether Aarushi's swab was taken or not," Talwar added.
