3 bookies arrested in Bengaluru

A special team of Bengaluru Crime Branch arrested three bookies allegedly involved in cricket betting and recovered more than Rs 2 crore in cash, 25 mobile phones, SIM cards of different telecom service providers, two revolvers, a laptop, an Internet USB device and two cars.


A special team of Bengaluru Crime Branch arrested three bookies allegedly involved in cricket betting and recovered more than Rs 2 crore in cash, 25 mobile phones, SIM cards of different telecom service providers, two revolvers, a laptop, an Internet USB device and two cars.

The bookies have been identified as 27 year-old Ravi alias Fighter Ravi, 28 year-old Vipul and 27 year-old Vinod. The three were placing bets on Sunday's World Cup match between India and England, which will be played in Bengaluru.
