Own a designer auto-rickshaw

Own a designer auto-rickshaw
You might have missed them at the Wills India Fashion Week, thanks to the snobbish entry rules, but here's your chance to not only watch the kitschy designer auto-rickshaws, but own them too. Hanuman, Tribute to Women and The Indian Safari might sound more like film titles, but they are, in fact, names of the uber stylish autos, which had been unveiled at the WIFW in March. Collectibles in their own right, these autos make a very unique installation, adding an element of chutzpah to any space, be it your home, office, a golf course or your sprawling farm house. The artists who designed these three-wheelers include Dilip Sharma, Farhad Hussain, George Martin, Hindol Brahmbhatt, Avijit Dutta, Jaishree Burman, Naina Kanodia, Mithu Sen, Jagannath Panda, Vir Munshi, Paresh Maity, Sanjay Bhattacharya, Satish Gupta, Sudhanshu Sutar, Yusuf Arakkal and Nitin Bal Chauhan. Grab the funnest piece at the first-of-its-kind auction.

Go Dutchu00a0at the dance
No, we aren't asking you to pool your bills this weekend. A Dutch choreographer in town will give you every reason to shake a leg or two with him this Sunday. Holland-born choreographer David Zambrano is conducting a workshop this in the capital. David will make use of a special technique called 'low flying,' which will specially focus on the dancer's relationship with the floor. The class utilises simple movement patterns that involve breathing, speed and the release of energy throughout the body in order to activate the relationship between the centre and the joints, moving in and out of the ground more efficiently by maintaining a centred state.
There is a focus on the skeletal structure that will help improve the dancer's physical perception and alertness. The class includes partnering work and movement phrases, which explore the primary laws of Physics: cohesion and expansion. According to David, "the workshop will help emerging choreographers learn the process of what goes into composing a dance piece. The possibility of thinking is what they try to impart during such workshops. This apart, I will also showcase some simple movement patterns that involve breathing, speed and the release of energy throughout the body in order to activate the relationship between the centre and the joints, moving in and out of the ground more efficiently by maintaining a centred state.
