500 detonators, 600 gelatin sticks seized from West Bengal

Purulia: Police today seized 500 detonators and 600 gelatin sticks from a car in Purulia district and arrested two persons.

Acting on a tip off from Railway Protection Force, police intercepted the car near Tetulgram village under Kotshila police station and found the detonators and gelatin sticks inside, SP Nilkanta Sudhir Kumar said. It was suspected that the explosives were being transported to the Maoists, he SP said adding, the two arrested persons were being interrogated.

The duo were identified as driver Subal Mahato and Jaladhar Dwari, the other occupant of the car.
