That's time a family spent to get an FIR registered after their home was burgled
In the wee hours of April 9, a family in Vijaya Nagar found itself locked in a room in their own house, while their abode was being burgled.
Fakhrul Khan, the owner of the house that was burgled, said, "Apart from valuables worth over Rs 90,000, the burglars even took along my laptop, mobile phones, a digital camera and my wallet that had my credit cards."
That wasn't it. When the Khans approached the Hulimavu police, they received a rude shock.

The cops directed them to Mico Layout police station, as their house didn't come under the jurisdiction of Hulimavu police.
When the family reached Mico Layout police station, they were made to wait for the entire day and their FIR was finally lodged in the evening.
When contacted, C N Janardhan Rao, the inspector in-charge of Mico Layout police station, refused to speak.
Meanwhile, B N S Reddy, the DCP of South-east Zone, blasted Rao. He said, "Wasting time and refusing to file an FIR is unacceptable.
Rao should be held responsible for causing the delay." Commenting on burglary, Reddy said it's possibly the handiwork someone who's a practiced criminal and knows how to dispose off electronic gadgets.
