Deputy Commissioner of Police (Traffic) Manoj Patil had warned the PMC that he would stop work on the new bridge if the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) did not repair the Mula road that passes below it. "Motorists have to take the Khadki market road and then turn back to enter the Mula road, which is an extra kilometre or two. PMC should immediately start the repairs on the road and remove the electricity tower otherwise I will have to stop the construction work," Patil had said.

PMC Additional City Engineer Srinivas Bonala said they had now requested MSEDCL to shift the transformer and also received the necessary approval. "We have done our job and MSEDCL will now do the shifting in the coming week," Bonala said. MSEDCL officials were unavailable for comment despite repeated attempts to contact them.
