The three girls aged 6, 8 and 10 years were missing since December 14 after they went to purchase peanuts from a nearby shop, they said.u00a0
Their father had lodged an FIR on December 15. The decomposed bodies were located by villagers after foul smell emanated from the well, DIG Rajeev Krishna said, adding prima facie it appeared that they were strangled to death. He also did not rule out the possibility of sexual assault.u00a0
The bodies were sent for post mortem. Some persons were taken into custody.
