"When I saw the crane coming, I slowed down. But as I kept moving forward, I saw that the crane wasn't slowing down, so I stopped and then it hit us," said Krishnamurthy.
However, the crane operator blamed the cabbie for the incident.
Kishore Kumar (26), a BMRCL employee, who was on the night shift, said, "I can hardly go above 25 kmph, how could I possibly have driven fast enough to hit the Toyota? He crashed into me."
While the crane got a few scratches in the accident, the Qualis suffered major damages to its front. Nobody was injured in the collision.
