An ATC official confirmed the that they have named Shahzad Ahmed alias Pappu, Salman alias Chotu, Maulana Hussain Shabbir Mohinuddin Gangavli, Riaz Bhatkal, Iqbal Bhatkal, Yasin Bhatkal, Mohsin Choudhary and Ameer Raja Khan as the accused.
Out of the eight, four are from Bhatkal, including Shabbir Gangavli, Riyaz, Iqbal and Yasin Bhatkal. The ATC confirmed that the Bhatkal brothers (Riaz and Iqbal) are now settled in Pakistan. Yasin, who was very much in Karnataka when the blasts took place, migu00a0ht have escaped from India using the Nepal route, the official added.
Mohsin, the other accused, who is now in Pakistan, was involved in many terror attacks in Delhi, Mumbai and Gujarat. Amir Raja Khan is in Nepal, as he is the main man to provide fake passports to the 'fidayeens (terrorists)' to fly to Pakistan from Nepal.
Gangavli, the third accused is now in Pune Jail in the German Bakery blast case. Shahzad and Salman are in Tihar Jail.
Local boysInvestigations said that the Bhatkal brothers, the founders of Indian Mujahideen (IM), planned the terror strike at Chinnaswamy during the IPL matches. They used Yasin for planting the bombs with the support of 'local boys'.
