Cyclist crushed by BEST bus in Wadala

The incident occurred around 7 pm when a youth was riding his cycle on the road that is starved of space due to the ongoing Monorail construction. According to sources, the bus was going towards Antop

Hill when the accident occurred. While the cyclist died on the spot, the driver got off the bus and ran away from the spot. He is still absconding.

Details of the victim and the driver are yet to be ascertained.

Following the incident, locals who witnessed it went to Antop Hill police station to protest against rash driving and demanded more traffic constables on the spot.

Questioned about the incident, BEST spokesperson A Tamboli said the authority was looking into the matter.u00a0
