A 25-year-old Delhi University student was allegedly kidnapped and raped at knife point by four persons in east Delhi, police revealed on Wednesday. The incident took place on November 3. A senior police official said that after raping the victim the accused made several calls from her mobile phone. These calls were traced and one of the culprits has been nabbed. The others are still on the run.
Way to work: The victim's office is at this Noida mall.
The officer said that the victim, Neha (name changed), lives in Pandav Nagar area and is a regular student of an Evening College of Delhi University. To pursue her education she also works with a private firm in Noida's Spice World Mall.
"On November 3, she left for office early in the morning. She was waiting for her office cab at the main road of Pandav Nagar when four persons arrived in an auto-rickshaw. They offered her a lift but she politely refused. They then dragged her inside the auto-rickshaw forcibly and took her in a forest area near ITI campus. They held her captive at knife point and gang-raped her," said the police officer.
After raping the victim the accused robbed her of her valuables. They then abandoned her there. She somehow managed to reach home and narrated the whole incident to her family. The victim was then taken to a government hospital for medical examination. Police lodged a case after the report confirmed rape.
