Fraudsters stop man in front of a police station, take him to a resort, lock him in a room, and flee with his Innova car
In a bizarre happening, two men conned the driver of a city businessman by posing as cops. Surprisingly, the incident took in front of R T Nagar traffic police station while Rajesh (35) was on his way home after dropping his boss at the airport.
According to Rajesh, a man dressed in khaki forced him to stop the car and alleged that he was driving rashly and had overtaken his senior's car. Soon, another man, who was dressed in plain clothes but introduced himself as a traffic cop, joined him and got into Rajesh's car.
They, then, asked Rajesh to drive, as the senior officer wanted to meet him. When Rajesh opposed, they threatened of booking him under various sections. Frightened of the consequences that he would have to face, Rajesh obeyedu00a0 whatever they said.

Recently, two men robbed Sampath Kumar, a pick-up boy working with the General Post Office, at Cunningham Road. The duo posed as cops and on the pretext of an enquiry, they forced Kumar into a vehicle. Later, they fled with his bag containing around 200 letters, his mobile and Rs 1,000 in cash. |
