As the Indian palate gets more adventurous with each passing day, international food festivals and promotions are willing to go a step further when in comes to tickling taste buds with interesting, unconventional fare.
The Premium Japan Shop opened its doors on January 29 at Hypercity, Malad and at Godrej Nature's Basket's outlets at Warden Road, Bandra and Powai. Foodies get to stock up till March 20.
These kiosks store a careful selection of over 30 different varieties of products including soups and snacks, candies and sweets, dips and cooking sauces, noodles and sake.
There's something for everyone at these Japanese kiosks, according to Jodhani who has been in the business of importing Japanese food items for the last three years. He adds, "For most Indians, Japanese cuisine begins with Sushi and ends with Sashimi. I am hoping to change that with this promotion."
