Four persons were killed and six others injured today when their jeep fell into a gorge near Pokhri area of Chamoli district, police said.
The jeep was on its way from Pokhri market to Chaundi village when it fell into the gorge near Harishankar village killing four persons on the spot and leaving six others injured, Chamoli Superintendent of Police Tripti Bhatt said.

A District administration and SDRF teams have rushed the injured to the Pokhri government hospital, she said. A Passengers of the jeep were mostly locals returning from the market place in Pokhri tehsil to their homes, she said.
