Heavy rains lashed Mumbai today delaying trains, slowing traffic and inconveniencing commuters who stepped out for work.
Trains on the Central line were late by nearly 15 minutes, while those on the Western line were delayed by five minutes.

Water-logging was reported in some areas incuding Parel and Hindmata.
The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation has installed water pumps in areas prone to water accumulation.
Traffic in many parts of the city was seen moving slowly.
Commuters bore the brunt of the incessant rainfall with railway platforms being crowded and roads getting flooded.
