Hospital faces action for sex determination test

After a social activist alleged sex determination tests were being conducted at the Namit Hospital in Sadashiv Peth that is owned by Dr Makarand Ranade, the Health Depart-ment of the state government began the process of taking legal action against the healthcare facility yesterday.The complaint was made by Kiran Moghe, a social activist from Janwadi Mahila Mandal. Sources from the health department said they were verifying the complaint and following the legal procedure.
