Accused attacked the girl after she spurned his advances
Not once, not twice; he stabbed her ten times. Mohammed Subhan alias Sanny, a mess boy at the renowned Moolchand Hospital in south Delhi had become infatuated with Priya (name changed), a nursing student at the institute.

Last week, Sanny attacked the girl inside the hospital's premises because she had turned down his proposals and he didn't want anyone her to meet anyone else. Incidentally, the institute has 40 private guards for security.
Subhan didn't want Priya to talk to anyone except him. He used to threaten her not to be friends with anyone. Whenever he saw Priya speaking with a guy, he would lose his cool. Last Saturday night, two guys Dimpy and Rajan had come to see Priya. They met her inside the nursing hostel. Subhan saw them together.
He immediately hatched a plan to settle matters once and for all and waited for Priya's guests to leave.
"Once Dimpy and Rajan had left, Subhan went to Priya's room. He picked up an argument with her for talking with two guys. When Priya rebuked him he fished out a knife and attacked her. Priya started screaming for help, hearing which guards arrived there and the culprit caught red-handed," said a senior police official.
The officer added that Priya has suffered injuries to her chest, stomach and back. An FIR of attempt to murder has been lodged with Lajpat Nagar police station.
