Security forces have unearthed a joint hideout of Jaish-e-Mohammad and Hizbul Mujahideen militant outfits in Bandipora district and recovered a large quantity of arms and ammunition from it, defence sources said on Wednesday.

On a tip off, troops of 57 Rashtriya Rifles and Jammu and Kashmir police launched a operation at Chakrishipura and recovered an AK rifle with two magazines, three rockets of rocket projectile gun, its three boosters, one 60 MM motar bomb, four Chinese hand grenades, one magazine of 9 mm pistol with 10 rounds and 23 grenades of under barrel grenade launcher, yesterday.

The arms and ammunition were kept in a bucket buried underground.
