The sweeper took the infant to the police station and the cops sent her to a child welfare organization in Connaught Place. The organisation flashed a message across to all police stations in the Capital on Tuesday night. Finally, Samiksha was identified and accepted by her family on Wednesday evening and her 48-hour-long ordeal came to an end.
"It's like a rebirth for me, I thank god for giving me my child back. But I will never forgive the culprits. They have to pay for what they did," said Bhawana, the infant's mother.
Police suspect Samiksha's father, who divorced Bhawana some time ago, is behind the incident. The accused and his family are absconding. The cops raided their house again on Wednesday without luck.

| On November 8, the infant was snatched from her grandmother Sushma (54) by two bike-borne miscreants in Rajouri Garden area of west Delhi. Sushma and her family claim that Samiksha's father Tarun Suneja is behind the abduction. "Sushma's daughter Bhawana Suneja, 26, was married to Tarun about a year ago. After a few days Bhawana realised that Tarun is a fraud and he had lied to her family members, claiming that he was employed at Citibank. Also Tarun's family often tortured Bhawana. Meanwhile she became pregnant and delivered a baby girl. But after a few months she applied for divorce in court and moved to her mother's home in Subhash Nagar area. She has been living there for the past 6 months," said Vijay, Bhawana's maternal uncle. |
