A woman has lodged an FIR against a Judicial Magistrate here for sexual harassment and extortion, police said on Tuesday.
Pushpa Meena, hailing from New Delhi, has alleged in the FIR filed last night that Prem Prakash, who became Judicial Magistrate in 2005, sexually harassed her and extorted Rs 2 lakh and jewellery from her.
She alleged that they came into contact in 1995 and after some time he promised to marry her. He even took the salary she received from her government job while he was preparing for the competitive exams. She has also stated in the FIR that in 2004, he took her signatures on some papers which he claimed were related to their court marriage, a police official said, referring to the FIR.
Meena has said that he deserted her and threatened her when she protested, the official said. The Magistrate is posted in Jaipur and could not be contacted for his comments.
