Four people, including a woman passenger, a bus driver and a conductor, were injured in a stone-pelting incident at Warje Malwadi yesterday afternoon.
An unruly mob that got furious after learning about the death of Amol Kuchekar (27) in police custody damaged seven PMPL buses. Amol, a resident of Surabhi Colony, was caught red-handed during a theft on Friday.
The mob blamed the police for his death. Deputy Sun-Inspector Ramdas Shelke from Warje Malwadi police station has been suspended.
