Muzaffarnagar: In a ghastly incident, a four- year-old girl was allegedly raped by a youth in Kairana town of the nearby Shamli district, police said.
According to police, the victim has been admitted in hospital in a serious condition following the alleged crime on Monday which occurred when she had gone to a marriage function.
In the FIR lodged in this connection, the victim's family has alleged that she was lured to a secluded spot by the accused youth, identified as one Sarfaraz, who then raped her and fled leaving the victim in a serious condition. Police said that a hunt is on for the accused, who is absconding.
