Nithari hearing postponed till May 25

A special CBI court here on Wednesday postponed the hearing of a Nithari serial killings case after one of the witnesses in the rape and murder of eight-year-old girl Aarti informed it about his inability to appear before it due to the election duty.


A special CBI court here on Wednesday postponed the hearing of a Nithari serial killings case after one of the witnesses in the rape and murder of eight-year-old girl Aarti informed it about his inability to appear before it due to the election duty.

Initial investigating officer (UP police) Dinesh Yadav was summoned by the court today to appear before CBI judge Rama Jain in connection with Aarti murder case.

He informed the court about his election duty after which the judge fixed May 25 for the next hearing.

Aarti had gone missing in the afternoon of October 25, 2006 and three days later, police found her remains buried behind Pandher's house in Nithari.
