Anna supporters have moved on to new strategies. On Sunday, team Anna passed on a message to its supporters to sit on strike in front of residences of MPs across India.

Following the instructions, some people tried to gherao Prime Minister's and HRD Minister Kapil Sibal's residences. A police team swung into action and urged the supporters to go away.

"Around 35 people, including a few women, had sat on a strike near 7 Race Course Road. Now they are protesting at Bhinder Chowk," said a senior police official. The police wanted to detain all supporters, but a senior official asked them not to.u00a0

Security tightened
Delhi Police, on Sunday, tightened security around all MPs' residences in the Capital. Police personnel were deployed outside their houses for security reasons. Speaking to MiD DAY, Delhi Police spokesperson Rajan Bhagat said, "Each MP already has security. We are ready to provide them more, if necessary."u00a0
