Market regulator SEBI has freed broking firm Prabhudas Lilladher in the irregular trading of DSQ Software and DSQ Biotech on payment of consent fee of Rs 2.05 crore.
Earlier on preliminary investigations, SEBI found that Prabhudas Lilladher had indulged in fictitious trading in the scrips of these two firms.
After the investigations, an enquiry officer recommended suspension of registration certificate of the broking firm for 12 months in September 2006 in the DSQ Software case.
In the matter of DSQ Biotech Ltd, suspension of registration certificate was recommended for a period of 3 months. However, this consent order disposes of the said enquiry proceedings pending against the broking firm in the matters of DSQ Software Limited and DSQ Biotech.
