After being denied appraisal by the management and fired by the Group-4 Security (G4S) company, four guards decided to take matters in their own hands-in a twisted manner. To get back at the company, the four joined hands and turned kidnappers.

The gang had hoped to ruin the reputation of the company in the market. The whole drama came to light when one of their victims lodged an FIR against them in Vasant Vihar, of south Delhi. The accused have been arrested.

Money matters
All four accused used to work for G4S. Recently, they had approached a senior official of the company, demanding a hike. When the official refused to entertain the demand, they picked up an argument with the management. They were then sacked for misbehaviour.

Modus operandi
The police said the four were identified as Sandeep, Somdutta, Karambir and Sunil Kumar. "Sandeep was the leader of the group. They kidnapped G4S guards who were on duty at different locations in south Delhi. They would then dump them somewhere else, so that the customer would think that the guard disappeared while on duty," said a senior police official.u00a0 A Santro car bearing Haryana number plate was also recovered from their possession.

Cat out of the bag
Police said a victim, Hari Singh, who works for the same company, filed an FIR against the four nearly three days ago. "Singh told the police that he is posted at a commercial establishment in Vasant Vihar. The accused came in a car, kidnapped him and dumped him in Dwarka. An FIR of kidnapping with an intention of murder was lodged by police," said a police official.

The police then raided the Vasant Vihar area and arrested the accused. "The Santro car used in the commission of the crime belongs to their friend. We will call him to join the investigation," said the police.
