New Delhi: Describing 'common people' as the focus of all his initiatives, Railway Minister Suresh Prabhu on Thursday proposed long-distance superfast trains for unreserved travel.

Presenting the Rail Budget 2016, Prabhu said the Indian Railways would introduce an 'Antyodaya Express' long-distance superfast train for common people, to run on dense traffic routes.

The railways would add two to four 'Deen Dayalu' coaches to some long-distance trains for unreserved travel, which would have drinking water facilities, the minister added.

The minister also proposed a new 'Hamsafar Express' for fully airconditioned three-tier AC travel with meals service.
