With its subtle interiors and fultoo Punjabi Khaana, Moti Mahal Delux Tandoori Trail's new outlet in Connaught Place is surely worth a visit
Butter chicken and tandoori lovers should need no introduction to Moti Mahal. So when it opens its doors in the city's heart, we couldn't stop ourselves from taking a trip, and later, couldn't quite get ourselves to leave!
Bhangra bites
This restaurant continues with the culinary-trail from Peshawar to Delhi, and serves premium food preparations, done in butter and pure ghee. The must tries at this tandoori haven are butter chicken (Rs 409), tandoori chicken (Rs 269), chicken tikka (Rs 219), dal makhani (Rs 159) and shahi paneer (Rs 159) among others.
Not only this, the eatery also has on offer 'M4' or Moti Mahal Makhani Meals, which comprise a portion of murg makhani, dal makhani, raita, salad and two butter naans (Rs 509). For vegetarians, there is shahi paneer instead of the butter chicken (Rs 469).
And if you love kebabs, there is a special kebab platter with tandoori chicken, seekh kebab, dal makhani, naan and salad (Rs 319) that awaits you. Herbivores can opt for paneer tikka and malai tikka (Rs 259). We found the platter simply delicious. And for that sweet something, there's Moti Mahal special kulfi (Rs 99), apart from gulab jamun (Rs 89).
Ghazals over gourmet
The interiors of this 45-seater place is done subtly. The bright red hanging lanterns do their bit to make the place lively. Ghazals playing in the background enhance the soothing experience.u00a0
